It’s now the last week of October and, on a fine day, I average 5 calls a day requesting capture of swarms.
Of course I’ve run out of room to store any more bees and so refer people on. The sites I suggest that you try are:
Capturing swarms is not hard and is a good way of starting or expanding your apiary. There are numerous YouTube videos on swarm capture. One of the better ones is by the University of Guelph in Canada (see Part 1 and Part 2).
A good source of information on preventing swarming is again provided by UoG.
